Dear Parent / Guardian / Participant,
Welcome to Bristol Hawks. We hope you and your participant will have a very enjoyable time here. We aim to improve the physical condition, posture, co-ordination, and concentration of all participants in our care, and provide a child-friendly environment which is safe, stimulating, and challenging, whilst also being FUN.
The Club is affiliated to British Gymnastics and has adopted its policies on Safeguarding, Equality and Codes of Conduct, including the Anti-Bullying policy. All members and participants understand and agree to their responsibilities in connection with these policies. The documents are available at https://www.british-gymnastics.org. Bristol Hawks has appointment a Welfare Officer.
Our classes are structured to provide a progressive learning experience and we aim to help each child to progress at their natural pace and ability level.
Our coaches are qualified at the appropriate level for each session and have been screened for their suitability to work with children.
All unaccompanied gymnastic participants must be members of British Gymnastics. The fee for this is included in our annual gymnastics membership charge and provides appropriate insurance for the participant. You will be asked to pay for this following 2 trial sessions.
Sessions are booked and paid for in advance. There is no refund for missed classes. For the safety and protection of all we ask you to adhere to the following rules:
- Please do not attend any session if you are unwell or have any symptoms of illness.
- Please arrive on time and, if collecting, collect your child promptly at the end of their class.
- Please ensure participants arrive appropriately dressed e.g. No jewellery or watches, hair tied back if long, shorts and t-shirt, leotard or similar for gymnastic training, and a tracksuit or similar for the warm-up; tracksuit trousers and t-shirt or specific martial arts clothing for Shaolin. There is no changing area at the gym.
